What Is Allan Brooks eLearning Centre?

We’re an online learning platform for K–7 students, focused on nature, local ecosystems, and science, inspired by the natural world of the Okanagan.

Allan Brooks eLearning Centre brings nature-based education directly to your classroom. Our online modules blend digital learning with real-world ecology, helping students explore local plants, animals, and ecosystems in meaningful ways. Each lesson is simple to deliver, engaging for students, and aligned with BC’s K–7 curriculum — making it easy for teachers to bring science and nature to life without extra prep.

BC School's K-12 Core Competencies

The ABNC E-Learning program addresses the Core Competencies and their sub-competencies.
Below are a few examples of how these might be covered.

Communication

  • Communicating – students are asked to compare observations, share information
  • Collaborating – projects provide an opportunity to work together

Thinking

  • Creative – students are prompted to come up with solutions to problems (i.e. environmental)
